Darrelle Revis Wants Baseball Money

Darrelle Revis wants $162 million over ten years. While the payscale of that kind of contract would be similar to what Nnamdi Asomugha is making as part of the Oakland Raiders, the length of Revis' deal would have him making bank until he's 35. Now, it can't all be guaranteed, but that's still huge.

Will the Jets pay it though? If they do, it'll be regarded on par in New York with Bobby Bonilla's deferred contract options. And, every cornerback who can shut down Ochocinco will be sticking their hands out or into their employer's pockets. [Newsday]
UPDATE
Nick Mangold and the Jets just reached an agreement on a new contract for seven years at $55 million. Coincidence? Or a jab at Revis' manhood? I say no, but our producer says yes. [NJ.com]
